SINISTER CRUZ

Sini grew up in a small, conservative town with goth parents who were from the area. They grew up wanting her to have her own sense of style without worrying about what others think of her attire or appearance, but kids can be evil and they exercised their right to say what they want about her. They were very mean to her about how she dressed, which was extremely feminine, girly, and childish at the time. Eventually, as she grew up, she stopped dressing that way and dressed much more extreme. The people who bullied her didn’t like that either, but she thought it would be more offensive to them to dress like a slut (in her own words). Her parents weren’t necessarily on board with this, but after she turned 18 they couldn’t really tell her what to do. In fact, Sini stopped listening to them completely. She didn’t shut them out of her life because they never really did anything malicious to her, but she didn’t worry about their approval for any of the things that she did.

When she was around 10, she started to learn to play the drums. She had started with smaller, easier instruments like the recorder but she wanted to play the drums because she watched old videos of female drummers and she wanted to be just as cool as them. However, over time, she wanted to develop a skill in singing because she noticed the amount of attention that vocalists got. In fact, she ditched the drums completely and focused completely on singing. Her singing is similar to that of male post-punk artists, as she sings in a deeper register than most women do. She can sing at high pitches, but she prefers the sound of deeper pitches with the music that she makes.
